#Quote
1The truth is, ever since I was little, I've wanted to be an actor more than I ever wanted to be a movie star.
2Sometimes all it takes is someone else who truly believes in and sees the light shining within them to make a world of difference.
3I prefer the hands-on work to all the black tie stuff.
4Robert De Niro and Martin Scorsese were so exceptionally loving to me and so concerned and so caring that I will always be grateful to them.
5Not the most difficult director that I've worked with, but the most determined. (On Donald Cammell)
6Robert De Niro taught me how to listen, and how to be part of the conversation. It's not just about reading your lines and saying what's in the script, you have to understand your character, along with the other characters so that you can always respond.
#Fact
1Has appeared in three films with Robert De Niro: Raging Bull (1980), Cop Land (1997) and Analyze That (2002).
2Gave birth to her twins (her 1st & 2nd children) at age 39, a daughter named Catherine Patricia Gentile & Joseph John Gentile on September 11, 2000 in New York City. Catherine is older by 3 minutes. Children's father is her 2nd husband, Joseph Gentile.
3Gave birth to her 3rd child at age 40, a daughter named Annabella Rose Gentile on November 15, 2001 at Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip, New York. Child's father is her 2nd husband, Joseph Gentile.
4Her favorite film is Born Yesterday (1950).
5Cathy won Best Featured Actress "Tammy" at the 2013 Williamsburg Independent Film Festival.
6Her scenes in The Indian Runner (1991) were ultimately cut.
7Her fiancé and business partner, pizza restaurant owner Richard Palmer, left her for Raquel Welch after he and Raquel met in October 1997 at Ago, the West Hollywood restaurant owned by Robert De Niro.
8Irish-American. Her parents are from County Kerry and County Cork.
9Was graduating from high-school when she was cast as Vickie LaMotta in Raging Bull (1980).
10Once said Soapdish (1991) is her personal favorite of all her films.
11Was Arne Glimcher's first and only choice for the role of "Lanna Lake" in The Mambo Kings (1992).
12Was set to continue working with Donald Cammell after their collaboration on White of the Eye (1987), on a project called "Jericho" which would star Moriarty and Marlon Brando. However plans were soon dropped, as Brando realized he was unable to get insurance, and the film scrapped, just days before filming was to begin.
13Poor reviews for her second film, Neighbors (1981), in 1981, (a comedy featuring John Belushi & Dan Aykroyd), a serious automobile accident the following year, and the subsequent physical & emotional rehabilitation, and the last minute cancellation of a 1985 film she was co-starring with Jack Nicholson (which was delayed 5 years and released as The Two Jakes (1990)) contributed to a 6-year absence from the screen. She also claimed her first husband, Carmine D'Anna, took control of her career and life and was jeopardizing her career by not telling her of scheduled film meetings or studio interest for particular parts.
14Co-owner of Mulberry Street Pizza restaurants (three locations around L.A.), with Raquel Welch's husband (and Moriarty's ex-boyfriend) Richard Palmer.
15Grew up in Yonkers, New York
