Anson Williams (born September 25, 1949) is an American actor and director, famous for his character as gullible but well intentioned vocalist Warren “Potsie” Weber to the television series “Happy Days”. Williams was born Anson William Heimlich in La, California,. In 1972, Williams got the part of “Potsie” in a section of the comedy-anthology series Love, American Style titled “Love and the Happy Days”, which likewise introduced Richie Cunningham (Ron Howard), Richie’s mom Marion (Marion Ross), as well as other characters that could be spun off to the television series Happy Days. (Only Williams, Howard and Ross reprised their roles for the spinoff). The newest series’ first season, during which Williams received second billing after Howard, was focused primarily on Richie and Potsie.
