Rain’s musical career includes seven records (six Korean, one Japanese), 28 singles and numerous concert tours all over the world. His performing career started in 2003, when he won the KBS Best New Performer award because of his part in the drama “Sang Doo! Let’s Go To School”. In 2004, Rain won the KBS Excellence in Performing award because of his part in the drama “Full House”. After starring in “A Love To Kill”, he played in his first Korean movie, “I am a Cyborg, But That Is OK” (2006), which won the Alfred Bauer Prize in the Berlin International Film Festival. Rain played in another Korean movie, “R2B: Return to Base”, that premiered in August 2012.
In 2007, Rain made the direction of JYP Entertainment and began his own firm, J. Tune Entertainment but still keeps collaborative relationship with Park Jin young. He was rated at #46 on “100 Most Attractive Faces of 2013”.
On September 17, it had been formally declared that Rain signed with Cube DC, a sub-label of Cube Entertainment. The 2013 Zepp Tour: Narrative of Rain found Rain perform 10 dates in four cities in Japan over several dates in November. In October, Rain held his first fan assembly since his release in Seoul. While on tour, Rain produced a unique operation in the 2013 MOM, the place where a preview teasing an approaching reality show and new record was shown.
