Malcolm S. Forbes was born on August 19, 1919 in New York City, New York, USA. He was a writer, known for Some Call It Greed (1977), The Lions of Capitalism (1977) and America's All-Star Tribute to Elizabeth Taylor (1989). He was married to Roberta Remsen Laidlaw. He died on February 24, 1990 in Far Hills, New Jersey, USA.
Elected to the New Jersey Hall of Fame in 2007 for his services to business enterprise (inaugural election). Official induction ceremonies held in May 2008.

Made his son Timothy take a bagpipe lesson every Sunday, before he would give the boy his allowance. This was to instill the idea of doing what he had to do before getting paid.
