Gareth Emery (created 18 July 1980) is an English electronic dance music producer and DJ. Since 2009, he continues to be rated in “DJ Magazine”‘s annual Top 100 survey, peaking at #7 in 2010. Emery’s debut vinyl release proved to be a white label remix of The Psychiatrist’s classic “Nervous Breakdown” which premiered in early 2002. In February 2002 Judge Jules air the track live on BBC Radio 1 from the Mardi Gras holiday, which brought Emery to the interest of the electronic music community. But, the track that started his career is usually thought to be his third release: GTR — “Mistral”. It had been created completely on a PC within the span of a two week vacation in Provence. in 2011, Emery dropped to #13. He was rated at #14 in the year 2012, and dropped further to #51 in 2013. Emery has released four combination CDs during his career: The Five AM Sessions (2005), The Podcast Yearly (2007), The Sound Of Garuda (2009) as well as The Sound Of Garuda: Chapter 2 (2011). His debut artist album Northern Lights premiered in 2010, and attained significant success, scaling to no.1 in the United States iTunes dance graph. On his podcast and his Twitter page in September 2013, he declared that he’d a new artist album, expected for launch in early 2014. The accumulation will comprise plays of whole ‘timeless Emery records’ on TGEP, and began with ‘The Sound of Garuda’ (Ep. 251).
