Douglas Seale (28 October 1913 - 13 June 1999) was an English stage and film actor.He provided the voice of Krebbs the koala in The Rescuers Down Under (1990) and, two years later, the Sultan in Aladdin. He also appeared in several films including Amadeus and Ernest Saves Christmas (1988) in which he played Santa Claus. He appeared in the 1986 Christmas film, A Smoky Mountain Christmas, as Vernon. In 1989, he appeared in the Family Ties episode "Get Me to the Living Room on Time".He also played a character "Malcolm" in the 1995 game Phantasmagoria.
He was awarded the 1970 Joseph Jefferson Award for Best Director of a Play for Sir George Bernard Shaw's "Heartbreak House" at the Goodman Theatre in Chicago, Illinois.
He performed with first wife, actress Elaine Wodson, in a 1937 production of "Once in a Lifetime."

His noted direction of "King John" at the Stratford, Ontario, Shakespeare Festival in 1960 prompted critic Brooks Atkinson of The New York Times to begin his review by writing: "If you decide to put on one of Shakespeare's dull plays, send for Douglas Seale on the double."

Was nominated for Broadway's 1984 Tony Award as Best Actor (Featured Role - Play) for "Noises Off."
