Andrew Stephen (“Andy”) Grove (created 2 September 1936), is a Hungarian-born American businessman, engineer, and writer. He’s a science leader in the semiconductor industry. He escaped from Communist-controlled Hungary in the age of 20 and moved to America where he completed his schooling. He afterwards became CEO of Intel Corporation and helped transform the organization to the planet ‘s biggest maker of semiconductors.
As an outcome of his work at Intel, and from his novels and professional posts, Grove had a significant influence on the managing of contemporary electronic equipment production businesses world-wide. He’s been called the “man who drove the development stage” of Silicon Valley. In 2000, he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease and is a subscriber to a number of foundations that sponsor research towards a remedy.
