Daphne Pollard was born on October 19, 1891 in Fitzroy, Victoria, Australia as Daphne Trott. She was an actress, known for Our Relations (1936), Thicker Than Water (1935) and Run, Girl, Run (1928). She was married to Ellington Strother Bunch. She died on February 22, 1978 in Los Angeles, California, USA.
Tiny character actress (just under five feet tall) with a penchant for comedy. She made her theatrical debut in 1898 as part of the 'Pollard Lilliputian Opera Company'. Appeared on the Los Angeles stage from 1907, acted in vaudeville, then moved to New York to appear on Broadway between 1908 and 1909. On screen, worked almost exclusively in comedy, initially for Mack Sennett from 1927, but then joined the Hal Roach stock company of players. She was often featured in the films of Laurel & Hardy. At the end of her film career, she returned to vaudeville.
