Lynn Novick is an American director and producer of documentary films known for mostly for her work with Ken Burns. Among her most notable collaborations with Burns are The War (2007), Baseball: The Tenth Inning (2010). and Prohibition (2011). Their next project is a Vietnam War history planned for 2016. Born and raised in New York City, Novick was a research assistant at the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of American History before beginning her film career as a production assistant at WNET, the city's public television station. She worked on Bill Moyers' projects Joseph Campbell and the Power of Myth and A World of Ideas with Bill Moyers before getting a job working on Burns' The Civil War (1990).
