He was noticed for his membership in rap trio 213 and his solo career where he collaborated with Dr. Dre, Eminem, Warren G, Tupac Shakur, Westside Connection and Snoop Dogg on many hit releases. Nate Dogg perished in 2011 in Long Beach, California of complications from several strokes.
In 1990, Nate Dogg and Snoop Dogg, and their buddy Warren G, formed a rap trio called 213. 213 recorded their very first demo in the trunk of the famous V.I.P. record store in Long Beach, the demo was afterwards heard by Dr. Dre at a house party and he was immediately hooked on the soulful voice of Nate. Nate Dogg made his debut on The Chronic. Singing in what afterwards became his hallmark fashion, he was well received by fans and critics alike, and also would go to sign with Death Row Records in 1993. Nate Dogg was likewise featured on Mista Grimm’s “Indosmoke” with Warren G. Then in 1994 he made his first hit single “Regulate” with Warren G. Nate Dogg was also featured in many Tupac releases, including his cooperation record Thug Life: Volume 1. Subsequently in 1998 after a tumultuous time at Death Row Records he released another record. Music & Me peaked at number three on the Billboard hiphop charts in 2001. Following numerous delays and an initial release date of April 2004, his self-titled record was launched beneath the Affiliated Entertainment Group on June 3, 2008.[citation needed] In the initial half of 2014 his final studio album Nate Dogg: It’s A Wonderful Life will soon be published by Seven Arts Music and United Media and Music Group. The record will feature unreleased content from Nate along with appearances from Eminem, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige and Jay-Z. In 2002, Nate Dogg appeared on a celebrity episode of the Weakest Link, making it to the final three players before being removed by Xzibit and Young MC. Nate Dogg got success, not only in solo endeavors, but in cooperation with other hip-hop artists.
