Dennis Clarke (born 18 January 1948 in Stockton-on-Tees) is an English former professional footballer who played as a defender for West Bromwich Albion, Huddersfield Town and Birmingham City in the Football League. He has the distinction of being the first substitute to be used in an FA Cup Final, during the 1968 FA Cup Final for West Bromwich Albion against Everton, when he replaced the injured John Kaye.
When he was 11 years old, in his first year as an altar boy at his Catholic parish, Dennis was a server at 7 different Masses in one morning. In Dennis' humble opinion, he suspects he may be the only person in the world to have accomplished that feat. He even suspects that he might be the only human being who ever lived who served as an altar boy at seven different Masses in one morning.
