He worked in TV as assistant sound recordist (1970–72), and as a prominent sound recordist in Iranian cinema, received the prizes from the Fajr International Film Festival for Where Is My Friend’s Home? (1986, by Abbas Kiarostami), The Lodgers (1986, by Darius Mehrjui), Under the Roofs of the City (1989, by A. Hashemi), The Actor (1992, by Mohsen Makhmalbaf), Land of the Sun (1996, by Ahmadreza Darvish) and Born under Libra (1998, vt Ahmadreza Darvish).
