Hans Peters Bio/Wiki, Net Worth, Married 2018

Hans Peters is the only contestant who has ever won Lotto Weekend Miljonairs (the Dutch version of Who wants to be a Millionaire). He won on January 6, 2001. Because the euro wasn't used yet, he won NLG 1,000,000 instead of €1,000,000. The question that won him NLG 1,000,000 was, translated from Dutch: "Who designed the last series of the Dutch Gulden coins, as well as the Dutch side of the euro coins?", with these choices: Luk Luycks, Bruno N. van Eyben, Jaap Drupsteen and R.D.E. Oxenaar. The correct answer was Bruno N. van Eyben.

#Fact
1As a set designer renowned for his work on films with historical settings, he was assigned by MGM to work on their prestige production of "Lust For Life", but had an exceptionally acrimonious relationship with director Vincente Minnelli. The latter insisted he could not work with Peters, so the studio replaced Peters with Preston Ames, a favorite Minnelli colleague.
2Following the early death of William A. Horning in 1959, he was interim head of M-G-M's art department for about a year, and was, following the usual Hollywood custom of the time, given a shared credit on all films and TV episodes produced during that period at the studio. However, the appointment was not a permanent one; George W. Davis then took over and held the post for over a decade.
3London-born art director in Hollywood. Began at 20th Century Fox (1935-40). Briefly at RKO (1943), then settled at MGM from 1944 until his retirement twenty years later. Nominated for five Academy Awards. Did possibly his best work on The Picture of Dorian Gray (1945) and Lust for Life (1956).
