Frank Wisbar (born Franz Wysbar 9 December 1899 – 17 March 1967) was a German film director and screenwriter. He directed 30 films between 1932 and 1967 in Germany and the United States as well as an adaption of Edgar Allan Poe The Tell-Tale Heart for British Broadcasting Corporation. He was a member of the jury at the 10th Berlin International Film Festival.

1Worked as writer/producer for Ufa in the early 30's. His first films as a director met with disapproval from the Nazi regime and Wisbar consequently left Germany for the U.S. in 1939. He found little meaningful work in feature films, but had some success as a freelance director/producer in early anthology television during the late 1940's. He returned to Germany in the mid-1950's.
