Joined the Fabulous Freebirds (Terry Gordy and Buddy Roberts) after Michael Hayes had temporarily left the team. He was known as the "Blackbird," and Parsons subsequently formed his own Blackbirds team with Al "Action" Jackson, and later with Brickhouse Brown.
