Dr. Thomas Fagan is an American Psychologist and Historian. Fagan is a former President of the National Association for School Psychologists, and he is currently Historian of the National Association of School Psychologists and APA’s Division of School Psychology. Fagan was previously the Director of the School Psychology Program at Western Illinois University, until accepting the same position at the University of Memphis in 1976. Since then, Fagan has authored numerous publications related to the history and development, accreditation, credentialing, and professional issues related to the field of School Psychology. Fagan has “virtually singlehandedly researched and written (the) history of an entire field – school psychology.”
