David Crane (created August 13, 1957) is an American writer and producer. He’s among the originators of the television situation comedy “Friends”, along along with his longtime pal Marta Kauffman. He could be Jewish. He attended Harriton High School in Rosemont, Pennsylvania, and received his bachelor’s degree from Brandeis University. He along with his life partner, Jeffrey Klarik (also a producer of “Mad About You”), created the 2006 ensemble situation comedy “The Class”. In 2011, Crane and Klarik created a situation comedy called “Episodes” for the BBC.
