Lara Cardella (born November 13, 1969 in Licata, Italy) is an Italian writer. She is best known for her best seller novel Good girls don't wear trousers.
Her debut novel "Volevo i pantaloni" (the English title is "Good Girls Don't Wear Trousers") caused a scandal in Sicily, criticizing the backwardness and parochialism there. However, it became an international bestseller (1989) and was made into the movie Volevo i pantaloni (1990).
