Darren Victor Bett (born 28 November 1968 in Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire) is a weather forecaster for the BBC, broadcasting on television and radio. Bett is a main weather presenter on BBC Radio 5 Live, and also appears on BBC News Channel, BBC World News, BBC One and BBC Radio 4. He married Susan Allen in Bradford in October 1991 and they now live in north Hampshire with their two daughters (born January 1995 and December 1998) and son (born March 1997).
Plays sports: football and golf. He won the Leeds Weather Centre golf tournament in 1996.

Joined the BBC national weather team in London in October 1997 to work on BBC News 24 (1997), the Corporation's 24-hour news channel.

Worked in Glasgow Weather Centre, The National Met Centre and in 1992 Leeds Weather Centre. In 1994 he became the main regional weather presenter for BBC Look North and contributed to many local television programmes.

In September 1989 joined the Met Office as a weather forecaster, one of the first graduates to move directly into forecasting.
