Traute Carlsen was born on February 16, 1882 in Dresden, Germany as Gertrud Rosalie Kempner. She was an actress, known for It Happened in Broad Daylight (1958), Der Schriftmagier (1919) and Das Haus voller Rätsel (1960). She was married to Karl Forest. She died on November 22, 1968 in Küsnacht, Zürich, Switzerland.
When the National Socialists came into power the Jewess Traute Carlsen escaped to Switzerland. There she was able to continue her theater career smoothly, in addition she also play in the Swiss movie "Jä soo!" (1935).
