Charles K. Feldman was born on April 26, 1904 in New York City, New York, USA as Charles Gould. To pay for his college tuition, Feldman worked in the camera departments of many studios. Among his friends were Leon Shamroy and Gregg Toland. He worked for John Ford as a second assistant cameraman.
