Nat Pierce (July 16, 1925 – June 10, 1992) was an American jazz pianist and arranger born in Somerville, Massachusetts, perhaps best known for being pianist and arranger for the Woody Herman band from 1951–1955. Pieces by Pierce were predominantly created for use in big bands.
Jazz pianist and arranger in the Kansas City tradition, also a noted session musician. Arranged for Count Basie and Ella Fitzgerald. Briefly led his own band, 1949-51. Played piano and arranged for Woody Herman, 1951-55. In 1975, he joined Frank Capp as co-leader of the group Juggernaut, which used many of his arrangements.
