Michael Obiora was born in North-West London to Nigerian parents. After starting drama classes aged seven. He was soon encouraged to join an agency by his drama teacher. Michael was cast as "Ben Trueman" in the BBC1 smash hit comedy Hotel Babylon during the seven-month run of Elmina's Kitchen. In the first series he would film during the day and a car would drop him to the theatre to perform in the evenings.
