Sir Owen George Glenn KNZM (created 19 February 1940) is an expatriate New Zealand businessman and philanthropist, who supports hundreds of humanitarian causes global through his family charity. Produced in Calcutta, India, his family emigrated to New Zealand in 1952. Owen Glenn supplied tremendous support for Hockey NZ through the Glenn Family Foundation, it’s helped Hockey NZ attain rights to the hosting of the 2011 Champions Trophy that has been taken from India due to organization failures. He said “I grew up in New Zealand, it holds a unique place within my heart also to see such devastation, such harm and such loss makes you would like to help.
