Carl McCoy was born in Lambeth, London, and grew up in nearby Brixton. He is a co founder of Gothic Rock band, Fields of the Nephilim. He was lead singer, lyric writer, co composer and artist from 1984 to 1991. In 1992, he left Fields of the Nephilim to form a new band called "The Nefilim"; meanwhile, the rest of the band hired a new lead singer and...

Carl McCoy, lead singer of the cult gothic band, Fields of the Nephilim, and the 4 other members seperate. the rest of the band goes on to form the short-lived Rock group 'Rubicon'. Rumours abound that McCoy is working on a new group, and though his Project eventually emerges, named 'Nefilim', after their (1996) debut album they are rumoured to have broken up. [1992]
