Hardy Rawls (born November 18, 1952) is an American character actor from Florida. His most notable role was as "Dad" Don Wrigley on the Nickelodeon television series The Adventures of Pete & Pete. His first role was in the film D.A.R.Y.L. as baseball coach "Bull McKenzie."He portrayed "Ol' Lonely" (the "lonely" Maytag Repairman) beginning in 2003, having taken the place of the late Gordon Jump. Maytag announced on April 2, 2007 that he was being replaced by Clay Earl Jackson of Richmond, VA. He has also made guest appearances on Late Night with Conan O'Brien, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Law & Order: Criminal Intent.Rawls is 1974 graduate of Seminole Community College.
Hardy grew up in Sanford,Florida and graduated from Seminole High School after high school served in the Navy then attended Seminole State college.It was here where he did his first play and went on to Florida Atlantic University and got a BFA.In 1978 his father passed away and he went home to Orlando and got his first commercial and later went to UCLA.He then went on to NYC where he lived for thirty tears and did numerous commercials all thru the 1980's In the 1990's he starred as Pete's Dad Don Wrigley on the Nickelodeon series The Adventures of Pete and Pete one of his favorite roles.

He also appeared in the film See No Evil,Hear No Evil with Richard Pryor and Gene Wilder in the fight with Richard Pryor Hardy had to grab him a bear hug and take off camera to floor mat after the scene Hardy asked are you OK Mr Pryor and he answered "My wife doesn't even hug me like that" He most recently filmed the movie Walt Before Mickey as Walt's family doctor who gave him his first loan for his animation studio which was filmed in Sanford and Deland Florida.
