Betty Harford (born January 28, 1927), is an American actress, highly active on television.Her credits include: Alfred Hitchcock Presents, Gunsmoke, Dr. Kildare, The Twilight Zone, The Big Valley and The Paper Chase.She is possibly best known for her recurring role in the soap opera Dynasty as cook Hilda Gunnerson. Harford appeared in the series throughout its nine-year run from 1981 to 1989, reprising the part for Dynasty: The Reunion in 1991. She also was well known for her performance in the The Paper Chase as Mrs. Nottingham, the ever efficient secretary to Professor Charles Kingsfield. She performed this role during the first season in 1978-1979 and then later reprised it when the show was brought back by Showtime in 1983. In this role, she was to Professor Kingsfield as H.R. Haldeman was to Richard Nixon.
