Albert Lieven was born on June 23, 1906 in Hohenstein, Germany as Albert Fritz Liévin-Liévin. He was an actor, known for The Guns of Navarone (1961), The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp (1943) and The Seventh Veil (1945). He was married to Susan Shaw, Petra Peters, Valerie White and Tania Lieven. He died on December 22, 1971 in London, England.

1He spent the years of the Second World War (1939 to 1945) though mainly in roles depicting Nazis in British films, not finding them overly challenging as an actor.
2When the National Socialists came into power he fled to England. There he was able to continue his career but he was often put into action for one-dimensional scoundrels which weren't a patch on him.
3Owing to the rise of the Nazi Party in Germany and his wife Tatjana being Jewish, he moved to Britain in 1937.
4Albert Lieven continued his career after the war in England as well as in Germany. Especially in Germany he could act in a whole string of well-known movies.
5He is the grandfather of the England Rugby Union player Toby Flood.
6With his roles in the Edgar Wallace movies "Das Geheimnis der gelben Narzissen" (1961), "Das Verrätertor" (1964) and "Der Gorilla von Soho" (1968)he became well-known to a new generation.
7He appeared on the London stage in 1939 in the comedy Rake's Progress (Not the later Rex Harrison film of the same title), but was largely acting in films (among them The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp, 1943). He appeared in many cinema productions, and in the year 1940, he was credited in seven, in all of which he played the role of a German.

From 1939 to 1952, affiliated with the Rank Organisation as a character actor. On Broadway in 1948. Returned to German film and TV in 1952.
