Rosie Vela was born on December 18, 1952 in Galveston, Texas, USA. She is an actress, known for Heaven's Gate (1980), The Two Jakes (1990) and Inside Edge (1992).
Her 1986 album "Zazu" was produced by Steely Dan producer Gary Katz, and both Donald Fagen & Walter Becker of Steely Dan appeared on the album at a time when the band was on hiatus.

Formerly dated Jeff Lynne, who is best known as the lead singer, songwriter, and producer for the '70s/'80s band ELO (Electric Light Orchestra). Lynne was also a member of the late '80s supergroup "The Traveling Wilburys". While dating in 2001, she appeared with Lynne & a reformed ELO on the concert DVD "Zoom" as a featured backup singer.
