John Timothy Griffin, known as Tim Griffin (born August 21, 1968), is an American politician and member of the Republican Party who has been the U.S. Representative for Arkansas's 2nd congressional district since 2011. He was an interim United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Arkansas from December 2006 to June 2007, appointed by Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, but never confirmed by the U.S. Senate.Griffin will not seek a third term in 2014. He is the Republican nominee for the office of Lieutenant Governor of Arkansas in the general election scheduled for November 4, 2014. He defeated two intraparty challengers, both outgoing members of the Arkansas House of Representatives, Andy Mayberry and Debra Hobbs.
