Nerys Hughes was born on November 8, 1941 in Rhyl, Denbighshire, Wales. She is an actress and producer, known for The Liver Birds (1969), The District Nurse (1984) and Swing (1999). She has been married to Patrick Turley since 1972. They have two children.
In the 1980s, Merseyside band Half Man Half Biscuit released a song called "I Hate Nerys Hughes!" which just consisted of the title being screamed over and over again. It was tongue in cheek (I think!).
