Leena Peltonen was born on June 16, 1952 in Helsinki, Finland as Leena Paivi Peltonen. She was an actress, known for Tunteita (1965). She was married to Aarno Veikko Palotie. She died on March 11, 2010 in Helsinki.
Finnish researcher, who along with a team of scientists discovered mutated genes responsible for 15 inherited diseases. She also established the department of human genetics at UCLA in 1998.
