Sir Peter John Westmacott, Template:Post-nominals (born 23 December 1950) is a senior British diplomat, who effective January 2012 is Her Majesty's Ambassador to the United States of America, in succession to Sir Nigel Sheinwald.The Prime Minister's Office announced Westmacott's appointment on 24 June 2011.
He was awarded the Knight of the Grand Cross of the Order of St. Michael and St. George in the 2016 Queen's Birthday Honours List for his services to British Diplomacy. He is the former Her Majesty's Ambassador in Washington D.C. to the United States of America.
