She is 5’5 and weighs 137 pounds. After earning her law degree in the University of Houston in 1986, she passed the NY state bar and started working as a prosecutor in Brooklyn. In several brief years, her law scaled the ranks to assistant district attorney and had several guest TV spots as a legal correspondent for NBC Nightly News and Inside Edition.
In 1997, Star acquired overnight recognition when she joined the panel of the recent ABC all-female hosted talk show The View. Although her law had not been always a fan favorite because of her opinionated, occasionally haughty character, the show proved to be a tremendous success garnering eight Emmy Award triumphs during her run as cohost. Following a less than amicable departure in the show in 2006, Star wasted no time returning to television along with her short-lived truTV talk show Star Jones, which covered subjects including pop culture to on-going crime news.
In 2004, House wed investment banker Al Reynolds in an extremely publicized, extravagant event that contained twelve bridesmaids and five hundred guests. The couple later divorced in 2008. The couple’s latest TV appearances include guest roles on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and the Lifetime show Drop Dead Diva.
