Linda Perry (born April 15, 1965) is an American rock musician, songwriter, and record producer. Once called the lead singer and main songwriter of 4 Non Blondes, Perry has founded two record labels, composing and producing hit songs for a number of other successful female vocalists. Perry has also contributed greatly to records by Courtney Love and Kelly Osbourne along with signing and spreading James Blunt in America.

After some time spent paying her dues as a solo vocalist at Bay Area (San Francisco) nightclubs and coffeehouses, Perry composed her first professional tune, called “Down On Your Face”, and was recruited to the group 4 Non Blondes by its creator Christa Hillhouse in the center of 1989. After many years of playing locally and negotiate with various record companies, the group eventually signed with Interscope Records and released its debut album, Bigger, Better, Faster, More! on October 9, 1992. While encouraging the tune, Perry was touring across the planet and shown the word “dyke” on her guitar for a performance in the 1994 Billboard Music Awards. (Perry is openly lesbian). In May 2009, she declared she was dating Cybill Shepherd’s daughter Clementine Ford, a relationship that has since finished, by May 2012. In 1994, a CD along with a VHS video of the shows were issued using the tunes “Doctor Jimmy” and “I am Free”, while in 1998 a DVD was released with all the tune “I am Free” just.
