Brian Molko (created 10 December 1972) is a Belgian-born musician, songwriter, lead vocalist, and guitarist of the band Placebo. He’s famous in particular for his nasal, high pitched vocals, androgynous look, and exceptional, Sonic Youth-influenced guitar design as well as tuning.
Molko was created in Brussels, Belgium into a Jewish American father of French-Italian tradition as well as a Scottish Catholic mom. Molko’s family moved often during his youth, growing up in Dundee, Liberia, Lebanon, and Belgium, where they finally settled for a serious number of years in the hamlet of Longeau, only close to the border with Luxembourg, where the youthful Brian spent lots of his youth. This additionally described his power to speak perfect French. Brian Molko has referred to your period spent in his mom’s home town of Dundee, Scotland, as “where I grew up”. Fluent in French due to his upbringing in Luxembourg, he has written and sung a few of Placebo's songs in French as well as English.
