Andrew John Ridgeley (created 26 January 1963) is an English singer songwriter and guitarist. Wham! went to enjoy world-wide success between 1982 and 1986, selling more than 25 million records. Wham! Simon Napier-Bell has declared that he fabricated a story in 1984, that Ridgeley was smashed on the nose by somebody in a club, so that you can get promotion for Wham! on the front page of British tabloid newspapers. Wham! Napier Bell formulated a marketing scheme which he considered would turn Wham! into leading international stars. In April 1985, he took Wham! to China for a 10-day visit. This got tremendous world-wide media interest when Wham! In 1986, “The Edge of Heaven” became Wham!’s fourth and closing UK No. 1 single. With George Michael fantastic to move right into a more adult marketplace, Wham! broke up following a farewell concert entitled “The Closing” in front of 72,000 people at Wembley Stadium on Saturday 28 June 1986. Soon after, Ridgeley moved to Monaco, and tried his hand at Formula Three motor racing. Encountering with little success, Ridgeley moved to La in pursuit of a career in acting. He returned to Britain forever in 1990. His brother Paul, an occasional percussionist for Bananarama, played drums on the record. Singles contained “Shake” and “Red Dress”.

That picture isn’t Andrew Ridgeley
Hilarious, the first pic (as of today) is Paul Atterbury, British antiques expert. Not very flattering for Andrew – Mr Atterbury is old enough to be his dad!
