Jeff Hanneman Bio/Wiki, Net Worth, Married 2018

Hanneman given both lyrical and musical content to each Slayer record and composed the tunes “Raining Blood”, “War Ensemble”, “South of Heaven”, “Seasons in the Abyss” and “Angel of Death”, that have been played at nearly every live Slayer show. He’d his own touch guitar, the ESP Jeff Hanneman Signature version.

In 1981 Hanneman, who had been employed as a telemarketer during the time, met Kerry King, when King was auditioning to get a southern rock band called “Ledger”. Following the tryout session, both guitarists began speaking and playing Iron Maiden and Judas Priest tunes. Slayer was born when King asked “Why do not we begin our own group?”, to which Hanneman answered. Hanneman said that he was playing guitar “for like a month” from the time he met King and put an effort into enhancing his abilities after seeing him play. Hanneman, who had been greatly affected by hardcore punk music, got the other members to the genre, heading Slayer right into a quicker and more competitive strategy. The group’s drummer Dave Lombardo claimed that his hardcore influences driven him to play quicker, leading to shape his drumming style. Just a demo was recorded, consisting of Hanneman on vocals and bass guitar, Lombardo on drums and George on guitar. After two of the tunes were re-recorded on Slayer’s 1996 record Undisputed Attitude.
