Mr. Rosenberg founded Malibu Comics with one title, The Ex-Mutants, and subsequently developed a library of hundreds of cutting-edge properties in a whole new "Ultraverse"- a comic book universe that contained quality characters including Prime, Rune, and Night Man. Under Mr. Rosenberg's leadership, Malibu Comics became the top independent comic book publisher in the United States. In 1992, he achieved an industry landmark deal as he lured away the most important artists from competitor Marvel Comics and established a distribution imprint for Malibu Comics with Image Comics, stressing the importance of the artists and characters in the industry. Mr. Rosenberg discovered the title Men In Black by a first-time comic book writer. Against all advice to the contrary, Mr. Rosenberg published the Men in Black comic book and soon after publication forged a development alliance to turn the property into a major motion picture - as well as an animated series for fall 1997. To date, Men in Black ranks as the highest grossing comic-to-film adaptation worldwide ($580 million). When his company was sold to Marvel Comics in 1994, Mr. Rosenberg maintained his role as president of Malibu Comics, which had taken over the entire computerized color production for Marvel, and also was simultaneously appointed Senior Executive Vice President of Marvel Comics. In late 1996, Platinum Studios, Europe's premiere library of comic book properties, was formed which allowed Mr. Rosenberg the opportunity to cultivate talent and characters from all over the world for domestic and international development in a variety of media.

  1. You should to movies: Men in Black. Rosenberg brought the billion dollar franchise to Sony (wikipedia: During his time at Malibu, Rosenberg led comic spin-offs into toys, television, and feature films, including the billion-dollar film and television franchise Men in Black,[2] based on the Marvel/Malibu comic The Men in Black by Lowell Cunningham.).
