Songwriter, composer and author, educated at Northwestern University (Bachelor of Science degree). Joining ASCAP in 1958, his chief popular-song compositions include "Time for Fun", "Finger Song", "I Like to Fly", and "Safety Song".
Hosted two local kids TV shows in his career. "Mr. Toby's Tip Top Merry Go Round" was seen weekday evenings on WAAM/WJZ TV Ch.13 in Baltimore, Md. in the early 1950s. And he was the fourth and last host/performer (JJ Jellybean) of WABC TV Ch.7 NYC's "Time For Fun!"/"The Johnny Jellybean Show" weekday afternoons and mornings from Monday August 23, 1958 to Friday June 24, 1960.
