Joseph Walter “Joe” Jackson (born July 26, 1928) is a talent manager as well as the daddy of the Jackson family of entertainers including music stars Michael Jackson and Janet Jackson. The record was the very first to feature Randy as an official replacement for Jermaine. In 1978, Jackson formed Joe Jackson Creations, with his sons as customers. Eventually, CBS’ subsidiary company, Epic Records, let the brothers in order to create their next record by themselves following two records created mostly by Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff. The record, Destiny, finally achieved platinum status. A couple of years after, the brothers released another platinum record, Triumph. In 1979, Michael Jackson followed his brother Jermaine in leaving his dad’s management business and after released the massively successful Off the Wall record that same year. A couple of years later, in 1982, Jackson helped to establish youngest daughter Janet’s solo career with A&M Records where her own self titled debut record was released. In 1983, the remaining Jackson brothers terminated their contract by using their dad’s business. In 1984, though he no longer handled his six sons, he helped to create the Jacksons’ concert tour to support their Victory record. Following the success of the Control record a year after, in 1986, Janet left her dad’s management team and started working with McClain full-time. In 1987, La Toya became the closing child of Joseph’s to leave his management firm. Following this, Jackson found problems managing other acts he’d signed to his management business and sometimes consented to deals that ended badly with either Michael or Janet bailing him out, yet, this ceased in the early 1990s. Together with the exclusion of Michael and Janet, who turned into two of the greatest stars in music history, the remaining Jackson siblings’ livelihood never found success following the break up of the Jacksons.
