Jeffrey Katzenberg Bio/Wiki, Net Worth, Married 2018

Jeffrey Katzenberg (created December 21, 1950) is an American businessman, film studio executive and movie producer. As a creator and CEO of DreamWorks Animation, he’s supervised the creation of such animated franchises as “Shrek”, “Madagascar”, “Kung Fu Panda”, “Monsters vs. Aliens” and “How to Train Your Dragon”. Katzenberg has additionally been involved in politics. With his energetic support to Barack Obama, he was called as “one of Hollywood’s highest political kingmakers plus among the Democratic Party’s top national fundraisers.”

It had been reported that Obama arrived in La on October 7, 2012, where he joined Bill Clinton at Katzenberg’s Beverly Hills house to get an exclusive meeting with several deep-pocketed Democratic donors. Members of the White House press corps who’d traveled to California with Obama were kept in the garage of Katzenberg’s mansion plus one reporter called the assembly “uncommon”. Katzenberg, who’d previously contributed $2 million to the pro-Obama PAC Priorities USA Action, contributed an additional $1 million in October 2012.

1If you asked 100 people to list 100 words to describe me, not one of them would have 'patient' written down. The irony is that the medium I find myself in love with and devoted to takes infinite patience.
2[on how he got a reluctant Leonard Nimoy to reprise his role as Mr. Spock for "Star Trek: The Motion Picture"] "All I remember is being in a resturant in New York with Leonard, and begging on my hands and knees. It worked."
3Of this much I'm certain: If you write a good script with a great premise, you'll have a big hit. If you write a bad script with a great premise you'll still make money. But if you write a great script with a bad premise, success is not likely.
1Partner in DreamWorks SKG [1998]
2In 2006, he and his wife Marilyn donated $1.25 million to Boston University to renovate facilities.
32007 - Ranked #22 on EW's The 50 Smartest People in Hollywood.
4Father of David Katzenberg.
5After his resignation from Disney in 1994, he partnered up with Steven Spielberg and David Geffen (SKG) to create their own studio: Dreamworks.
6Ordered several scenes of The Black Cauldron (1985) to be cut due to their violent and scary nature.
7Ranked #12 on Premiere's 2006 "Power 50" list along with DreamWorks co-founder David Geffen. They had ranked #12 in 2005 as well.
8Back in 1978, he was working for Paramount Pictures and was given the daunting task of bringing the Star Trek franchise back after a decade long "sleep". Eventually, the movie was complete, and is now "Star Trek: The Motion Picture (1979)".
