He was a producer, known for Dungeons & Dragons (1983), Uber Goober (2004) and Advanced Dungeons & Dragons: Tower of Mystery (1981). He was married to Gail Carpenter. He died on March 4, 2008 in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, USA.
Samuel Adams beer and butter milk were his preferred after work drink. He later switched to red wine after his strokes.

Disliked the work of J.R. Tolkien and The Lord of the Rings stories. He said it was because he found the authors work too dull with not enough action.
