David Krae (b. November 22) is a Canadian writer, director, actor, and producer. In 2006, he wrote and directed The House., an independent feature film, which was featured as an Official Selection of the Canadian Film Festival. In 2007, he won the Golden Palm Award for Best Script at the Beverly Hills Film Festival for his screenplay Lucretia and was the supervising producer of the Genie Award-nominated feature film This Beautiful City by director Ed Gass-Donnelly, sponsoring the project with the Actors' and Producers' Guilds. In 2009, he produced and played a supporting role in the independent action comedy Gangster Exchange by director Dean Bajramovic, which won six Best Feature awards at festivals across North America throughout 2009 and 2010.As an performer, Krae has appeared in various television shows; he is a member of the Alliance of Canadian Cinema, Television and Radio Artists (ACTRA) and the Canadian Media Producers Association (formerly CFTPA ).In 2012, he published a novel version of Lucretia, the story of Lucretia Borgia, as well as the Elizabethan style stage play upon which it was originally based.
Also a musician, he wrote six of the music cues for his film The House and often contributes soundtrack material to his projects.

As part of his formal training as a performer, he took dance classes in Santa Monica, studying tap and ballet.

While working for the Canadian Embassy in Hungary, he acted in a play at the RS9 Theatre in Budapest in which all the other actors spoke Hungarian and his parts were in English.
