Eric Eustace Williams (25 September 1911 — 29 March 1981) served as the very first Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago. He served as prime minister from 1962 until his passing in 1981. He was likewise a famous Caribbean historian, and is broadly regarded as “The Father of The Nation.”
