Held a panel on August 5th, 2006 at the famed Japanese animation convention Otakon in Baltimore, Maryland. It is his first US public appearance. During the panel, he revealed that he has secretly planned with the extremely popular Japanese rocker Gackt to form a band sometime within the next year. He also made mention that the long-delayed Violet UK debut album is nearly finished and shall also be released soon. After the panel, he signed numerous autographs, and made it a point to shake the hands of everyone he did not have time to sign for. [August 2006]

Started a new Japanese supergroup consisting of himself, Gackt, Miyavi, and Sugizo called Skin. They will perform at the Anime Expo in Long Beach, CA. on June 29, 2007 with a U.S. tour to follow.
