Thees Uhlmann, born (1974-04-16) April 16, 1974 in Hemmoor, Lower Saxony, is a German musician and author. He is a founding member of the indie-pop band Tomte and also writes for the magazines Intro, Visions, Spex and Musikexpress.
Took part in the Bundesvision Song Contest in 2011 with his song "Zum Laichen und Sterben ziehen die Lachse den Fluss hinauf" for Hamurg.

Started studying English and Politics at the University of Cologne, Germany, to become a teacher. After two years he switched to the University of Hamburg, Germany, to finish his studies, and ultimately abandoned his studies in 2000 to fully concentrate on his music with band Tomte.
