Stefan K Lessard (created June 4, 1974) is an American musician, most well-known as the bassist for the Dave Matthews Band. After moving to Charlottesville, he registered in the Tandem Friends School, where he studied music under trumpeter John D’earth. D’earth recommended Lessard to Dave Matthews for inclusion in his new group, which was searching for a bassist. On account of his age, he occasionally needed to steal in the back door of the nightclubs where the group was playing. He left after six weeks, when it became clear he cannot continue with school work while continuing with all the group. In 2006, Lessard started keeping a MySpace page called LowenDude. He also possesses and keeps a website at izstyle.com. During the 2007 European Tour, Lessard also started a video blog on YouTube. After that year, he co-composed the original music for Grand Canyon Adventure: River at Risk.
