Billy Vera (born William Patrick McCord, May 28, 1944) is an American singer, songwriter, actor, author and music historian. A singer and songwriter since the 1960s, his most successful record came with "At This Moment", a US no.1 hit in 1987.

He was awarded a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for Recording at 1770 Vine Street in Hollywood, California.
Recieve his first star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame (1770 Vine St.) in the late 80s His hit song, "At This Moment" was first used on the TV show Family Ties (1982) in a scene when Alex Keaton shares his first dance and kiss with his future girlfriend, Ellen. The song was then picked up by DJs across the country and the rest is music history.
