Bhimsen Joshi was born on February 4, 1922 in Gadag, Karnataka, India. He is known for his work on Ankahee (1985), Nodi Swamy Navirodu Hige (1983) and Sandhya Raga (1966). He died on January 24, 2011 in Pune, Maharashtra, India.
